Proco Group's History
Proco Group’s journey is rooted in a vision to connect outstanding talent with global opportunities. In 2008, Chris Powell established Commodity Search Partners, a firm dedicated to serving the commodities sector through specialist executive search. The success of this venture laid the foundation for the future growth of the firm.
In 2016, Commodity Search Partners merged with Richard Paisley’s Proco Global to create Proco Group. This strategic merger combined expertise, networks and resources, enabling us to broaden our sector coverage and deliver a truly world-class service to clients and candidates alike.
Continuing to evolve, 2021 marked a transformative moment in our story as Proco Group transitioned to a colleague-owned business through the introduction of a partnership model. This significant step, part of our ambitious five-year blueprint, reflects our belief in collaboration, accountability and shared success.
Today, this ownership structure empowers our people and strengthens our commitment to building a sustainable, values-driven firm for the future.

As the CEO of Proco Group, Chris Powell leads a steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation. Chris’s passion for creating meaningful connections between top talent and leading organisations has been the cornerstone of Proco Group’s success.
Chris founded Commodity Search Partners in 2008, recognising a genuine opportunity to establish a commodities search firm with a unique focus on cultivating enduring relationships. In 2016 Chris merged CSP with Proco Global and formed Proco Group. He has since led the journey to form Proco Group’s unwavering commitment to delivering comprehensive search solutions across the end-to-end supply chain market.
Chris has championed a people-first approach, understanding that each interaction holds the potential to shape careers and drive business success. By fostering a culture of trust and collaboration, he has inspired the team to exceed expectations and deliver unparalleled results for clients and individuals alike.
Richard Paisley is Proco Group’s chairman, responsible for working with the Executive Team globally to ensure that our agreed upon strategy is successfully implemented.
Richard founded Proco Global in 2008 in response to a very obvious gap in the market – executive level recruitment focussed solely on supply chains (Procurement, Manufacturing and Quality & Operational Excellence). Proco Global focused solely on executive search across end-to-end supply chains and led the business expansion into Asia, the Americas and continental Europe.
In 2016, Proco Global merged with Commodity Search Partners to establish Proco Group. This merger represented the next step in our journey, combining expertise and resources to deliver an unparalleled service to both clients and candidates worldwide.
Richard now supports the executive team on Proco Group’s unwavering commitment to delivering comprehensive search solutions across the end-to-end supply chain market.
