Where did you work before joining Proco?

What attracted you to Proco?

Having worked in Supply Chain for most of my career, I was very attracted to joining a company whose primary focus was just that. From the people I spoke with during the interviews, it was very clear that they were experts in their own right and were very passionate about the industry. Once I had done my own research into the company, I found that their reputation was also very strong.

What do you enjoy about your role?

I’ve really enjoyed the autonomy to drive my own business and the time and space to get on with things. I have been able to come up with my own ideas and initiatives and develop these as I see fit.

There is also a very strong sense of collective responsibility; that we need to deliver and ensure our reputation is upheld.

What are some highlights of your 1st year at Proco?

One of the main highlights was taking on extra responsibility when our CEO, Krystle Edwards, went on maternity leave.  We were all tasked with covering parts of what she does, and this really expanded my responsibility and knowledge of the company as a whole.

The other has been working with new clients on some really exciting, business-critical roles.

How has Proco helped you in your career development?

Having a more rounded perspective on how to run a business in Asia.  It has also taught me to really focus building a very strong internal network where sharing information on and with candidates and clients is second nature.

What advice do you have for prospective Proco candidates?

Back yourself.  It’s an organisation which will let you develop but it’s also not as structured as other organisations I have worked in.  It can be a little daunting at first, but it really does work very well for the right type of people.

What are three words that you would used to describe Proco?

Grown-up, Expert, Dynamic

Has your idea of recruitment changed since joining Proco?

Recruitment is what you make of it and I think it is the people that you work with that make the difference.

What do you think sets Proco apart from other recruitment companies?

An environment that allows you to get on with things and not get bogged down in things that really don’t matter. It’s also the fact that I can recommend any of my colleagues globally and I know that they will do a great job, wherever they may be!
