At Proco, helping people is at the core of what we do. Granted, this is usually in the form of finding talent for global businesses! However, towards the peak of the festive season last year, several of our global offices decided to help in a different way. Check out what each office did to give back towards the end of 2021:
London
The London team participated in an event sponsored by The Soup Kitchen London called ‘Walk in the Footsteps.’ The walk involved walking around London distributing food and other amenities to rough sleepers whilst learning about the various charities and donation centers homeless people would have to visit to receive basic necessities in London. The eye-opening experience resulted in the team raising over £300 for the Soup Kitchen.

Brighton
The incredible team down in Brighton went and raised over £300 for charity through their Christmas PJ Appeal. Through a combination of fundraising and wearing their own pyjamas to work, the office helped spread the cheer over Christmas. With the money that they raised, pyjamas will be bought and distributed at The Royal Marsden cancer charity, which pioneers groundbreaking treatment.

Hong Kong
Our Hong Kong team spent an evening volunteering at Box of Hope, a charity which sends presents to underprivileged children across Asia – in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Vietnam, Nepal, Kenya, Macau, and Cambodia. The team rolled up their sleeves and got to work, as the organization was running behind schedule despite having already packed 14,000 boxes that week! The organization aims to send useful or educational gifts each year, collected between October and early November. Since 2008, over 100,000 boxes have been donated.

New York
Over in New York, the team pooled their resources and fundraised to buy toys for Marine Toys for Tots, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford them over Christmas. The program is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve and has been running since 1947.
