Farid specialises in recruitment for end-to-end Supply Chain roles across Mexico and Central America. Since joining our Mexico City office in 2017, we asked Farid what he thought about the company and reflect on the highlights over the last two years.
Where did you work before joining Proco?
I was working for a recruitment company as a Senior Manager, responsible for the Sales & Marketing division with a team of 10 people from Interns, Consultants, Senior Consultants to Managers.
What attracted you to Proco?
First of all, the people. I got the opportunity to meet Rich, our Group CEO, and Stephen, our Chief Commercial Officer, and I could tell right away that it was the right cultural fit for me, finding that they were smart, ambitious and fun people too. I was also attracted by the specialization of the company, which made me believe that a recruitment company focused exclusively in Supply Chain end to end globally had a great chance to grow, expand and conquer the whole market at some point! Finally, the international exposure and the responsibility of running an office was, and still are, at the top of my list of motivators.
What do you enjoy about your role?
Being able to develop strategies for growing the business in short, middle and long term; supporting and developing the team and working every day with them is always a pleasure, we are the Proco Family!
What are some highlights of your time at Proco?
I would say breaking the monthly sales record of the office three times during my period here, in addition to growing the team from 3 people when I first started to our current number of 10.
How has Proco helped you in your career development?
Mostly the international exposure, this is also a company that will help you grow in decision making and leadership skills, among others.
What advice do you have for prospective Proco candidates?
Be yourself, be clear, and honest with your motivations and career aspirations. If you’re looking for a company with a very successful business model, with great people to work with and the work-hard play-hard environment, then this is the right place for you.
What are three words that you would use to describe Proco?
Innovation, People & Results.
Has your idea of recruitment changed since joining Proco?
Definitely, I found a company that focused on results, but also one that is very human that works with the ‘thinking outside of the box’ kind of mindset.
What do you think sets Proco apart from other recruitment companies?
We have a culture of innovation – that was the very first component of our company’s foundation. We have ambitious plans to grow, but we know that it is all about the people, so we take care of them. I think another main difference is the quality of our work. When we engage with a client and a candidate, they can really see the specialization in our processes.
