Krystle started at Proco as a Senior Consultant in 2012. We caught up with Krystle to celebrate an incredible 7 years, and asked her to reflect on her highlights of her time with Proco so far.
Where did you work before joining Proco?
After graduating from university in Australia, I relocated to London, where I fell into Investment Banking recruitment. In 2010, I moved to Hong Kong, continuing my banking recruitment career in two boutique agencies.
What attracted you to Proco?
After 7 years working with the major global banks, all with established PSL’s and online CV portals, I was attracted to the specialist niche focus of end-to-end Supply Chain. I missed the ‘consulting’ nature of recruitment, working in true partnership with senior executives on retained or exclusive assignments, and realised I’d become a CV jockey quickest to upload to a website. I was also inspired by the founder, Richard Paisley, who had ambitious plans for the business that I wanted to be a part of.
What do you enjoy about your role?
I love the people that I work with – my dedicated teams in Hong Kong and Singapore and my colleagues across the globe. I really enjoy seeing them develop, the smiles on their faces when they achieve something they have been working towards, and ultimately promoting them. I also enjoy the exposure and variety of people I get to meet across the industries that we cover, from an infant nutrition business to a dental implant manufacturer, a global jewellery brand to an oil refinery – the spread is wide but they are all fascinating.
What are some highlights of your time at Proco?
There are so many great memories to choose from, but I would include my first placement, Tiger, into a global alcoholic beverages firm in Vietnam. Additionally, the 2015 Proco HK Christmas party where we dressed up as the 12 days of Christmas singing carols out of an ubers’ sun roof on the way to karaoke, as well as establishing the HK Women in Recruitment networking group in 2017 and organising numerous community events. Last but not least being promoted to sit on the Executive Board which was a very proud moment for me.
How has Proco helped you in your career development?
Proco’s career paths are very transparent. The businesses rewards those who are dedicated and can achieve their targets with no glass ceiling. I’ve been really lucky and progressed from Senior Consultant to APAC CEO in my 7 years with the business. I’ve always felt supported and part of something bigger and I’m forever grateful for this opportunity.
What are three words that you would used to describe Proco?
Passionate, Dynamic, Ambitious
