The challenge:

In 2015, a speciality chemicals business engaged Proco Associates on a retained search for a Logistics & Planning Manager with a salary of €50,000 based in a remote location in Northern Italy.

The client was looking for candidates that were highly skilled in planning and logistics and had solid experience of working with a variety of different IT Systems.

The solution:

The limited pool of candidates, remote location and specific skillset required made this a challenging search. To deliver a shortlist within the agreed timeframe, our global research team tapped our database of professionals with relevant experience in the Process & Chemicals industry.

A longlist of 30 candidates was presented, and we conducted further screening and profiling to achieve a shortlist of four. First-round interviews with the hiring manager were conducted via Skype to speed up the process and reduce costs. 

Our results:

The strongest candidates were invited for a face-to-face interview at the plant in Northern Italy. The successful candidate accepted the offer, with the entire process taking 10 weeks and achieving a successful result within the timeframe set out in the original brief.
