The challenge:

Proco Global was retained by the CTO of an industry-leading automotive business seeking a team of data scientists. The company had begun a digital transformation in 2016, taking a strategic decision to create a centralised business unit focused on the development of systems and processes to enable transformation, including a team of data scientists to create value from the vast volume of manufacturing and product data available.

The solution:

Proco Global identified suitable individuals across a range of industries including automotive, aerospace, manufacturing and industrial equipment, keeping our client fully appraised at every stage.

Given the deadlines dictated by stakeholders, all candidates participating had to be capable of starting within 60 days.

The client selected 15 individuals from our longlist for phone interviews, selected the 10 strongest to meet in person, and within four working days of the second stage interview, chose eight finalists to fly to Munich and meet key stakeholders. 

Our results

A successful outcome was achieved and our client mad six successful hires. Having the time pressure as a key driver, we not only located, interviewed and secured the right individuals for the job, we also ensured that they started with the new entity well within the 60-day target.
