The challenge:
Proco Commodities was retained by a dairy multinational for support in hiring a Dairy Trader in a niche competitive marketplace. The role had proved difficult to fill – the challenge was to find someone who was able to handle complex customers, maintain margins across dairy products and demonstrate a proven profitable, previous track record.
The solution:
We approached the requirement with our tailored retained methodology, assessing over 150 candidates in our trusted network. Protecting both the brand image of the client and the integrity of the requirement, we produced a longlist and tested these individuals with biographical, competency and hypothetical interview techniques. We submitted five candidates on a shortlist, all of whom met with the client after first-round telephone interviews. The successful trader was in place in under 45 days.
Our results:
During this process the client found the solution successful and enjoyed working in partnership with Proco.
As a result, the client has since engaged us to follow the same methodology for a Senior Dairy Trader and this individual was hired and in place within 30 days.
